Lata Ahmed has written and published a book namelyFirst Reading, First Writing in February 2012 for Mro community of CHT. She has been facilitating Mro community of two remote aborigines’ village of Ruma and Rwangchari of Bandarban, to run schools for Murong children. It has an aim to provide education to children in their mother language. Since inception to ensure this, it has been facing some major problems, such as, teachers from Mro community and quality books in Mro language. To solve these problems, She published this book to ensure education of Mro children in their mother language. All the education materials and information of this book are used from Mro life, livelihood, and environment. From this book, Mro children are able to learn to read and write their language with their known and practical life which helps develop their thinking and learning process.
